RAD5 TECH BOOTCAMP – YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PATHWAYS (YEP)
RAD5 Tech Bootcamp is a 6-month professional hands-on Capacity Development training and personalized initiative by RAD5 Tech Hub, committed to empowering youths with trending digital skills with access to job placement and product development.
Sponsored by PIND Foundation under the Youth Employment Program (YEP), an economic development intervention aimed at improving the technical capacity and job readiness of unemployed youths, RAD5 Tech Hub will be train 50 unemployed/under-employed youths in Abia State with on-demand ICT skills that will translate into revenue generation, job creation, sustainable entrepreneurship and socio-economic growth.
Interested participants are to choose from any of the 5 tracks available based on their interest namely;
- Frontend Web Development
- Mobile App Development
- Data Analytics and Visualization
- UI/UX (Product) Design
- Digital Marketing
Application of interested participants will be reviewed based on their chosen track.
Successful candidates will go through an intensive training that gives them the required skill set to become key players and harness the opportunities in the digital economy either as entrepreneurs or professionals in their chosen tracks.
They will also be exposed to various soft skills like leadership & communication, entrepreneurship, conflict management and career skills.
Program Duration – 6 months
Location – Aba, Abia State.
CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION
- Age: 16 – 30 years
- Must be available for 6 months
- Must have a laptop
- Must not be a current student
- Can bear the cost of transportation etc… to and from the training center.
NOTE: There will be no starter-packs at the end of the program, rather successful participants will be linked to available employment opportunities or supported to start their small enterprises.
